Lesson 1 – Introduction to simulation 

You are introduced to the concept of simulation as well as the use of models to represent the characteristics or behaviours of the selected system or process and the evolution of the model over time. 

Lesson 2 – What is resLoadSIM? 

You will develop an understanding of urban energy simulation and how the residential electric load simulation program resLoadSIM works. 

Lesson 3 – Setting up Process 

You will acquire the skills required to install the resLoadSIM program and develop a suitable urban model with all the necessary information and the required external files. 

Lesson 4 – Simulation Process 

You will learn how the simulation is performed and how to read the output and post-process the results into different file formats and diagrams. 

End of course Exam 

At the end of the course, you will have an exam to test your knowledge. You will have 20 Multiple choice questions that should be completed using resLoadSim. The exam is open-book with no time restriction; however, it should be completed in one sitting. The exam pass mark is 60%, and you will be awarded a certificate endorsed by V-LAB on successfully passing the exam.
